WHY DO WE START
HOW DO WE START
I like to drink water and try to calculate my daily amount. To get the number, I drink 3-4 bottles of water every day. However, I always thought it was too wasted and felt guilty because I used plastic bottles. With this problem and idea, I proposed to an industrial designer to solve this problem together.
At the first meeting, I explained the basic idea, and we discussed the concept. To solve the problem, we decided to design an IoT product that tracks water consumption and collects data from the device.
The mobile app goal was straightforward. Setting the pairing system collecting data, and presenting it effectively.
The biggest challenge was reducing user flow steps while delivering data effectively and how to show collected data as easily readable.

PROBLEM
Drinking more water is all we need to feel energized, brighten our mood, and help us to lose weight because, without water, the body can’t metabolize fat adequately. However, Only 2% of adults drink the recommended two liters, or eight glasses, of water per day. Doctors and nutritionists have recommended this for years, yet still, most of us fail to meet that goal.
SOLUTION
Drink Me is a smart water bottle that syncs with an app on your mobile phone to track your water intake and remind you to drink as well as help to drink personalized supplemental water. The integrated sensors trigger an LED display to remind you to drink water on a regular, timed basis.
TARGET USER
• All Genders
• The 20s - 40s Modern people, familiar with using smart devices
• Suffering from dry skin, Atopic dermatitis, hyperlipidemia, and urolithiasis
• Enthusiastic about sports
• For those of you sitting in an office all day, drinking coffee or soda
• People watching their figures, trying to drink the proper amount of water daily

COMPETITORS
What do they done well
• A subject of health and diet
• Clean and durable product design (Hydrate Spark, and Vessyl)
Why they are not the best
• Poor user interface design
• Doesn't support devices connection
• Battery life
• High Price of a bottle
SKETCHES
BRAINSTORMING
LADING PAGE
I wanted to show the bottle on the landing page to give a feel that it's completely connected. For quick change or Bluetooth connection, also place the navigation. By placing the navigation bar on the top of the Landing page, the user can quickly change the setting, including Bluetooth connectivity
STATISTIC PAGE
When the user scroll-up from the Landing page, the Statistic page will be present. The water consumption of statistical data is divided into three views by time (daily), weekly, and monthly
QUICK SETTING
The setting must be easy to find. By placing the navigation on the Landing page, I increase the accessibility of the setting page and make the workflow shorter. However, navigation attributes can be changeable on the Landing page. It doesn't lead you to a new setting page
ONBOARDING
By adding three-step of Onboarding pages, a user can successfully sync between the app and bottle when they access the app for the first time. When the bottle and application are connected, it will lead a user to set their daily goal by inputting their personal information
LOFI WIREFRAMES
LOFI WIREFRAMES
To start tracking water consumption, a user needs to (â‘¡)connect the bottle and app first. Once they complete the pairing, they (â‘¢)need to input their personal information to get the recommended amount of water. Recommendation numbers will be given based on a user's gender, age, weight, and activity level. After they set their goal, (â‘£)the app will lead to the Landing page.

When we discussed the first time, we wanted the bottle to have a lightning feedback function. So that users can quickly get their daily goal status. If a user drinks less water, a red light (like a warning sign), they will get.
On the other hand, give a space to put a vitamin or dietary supplement pod to make their hydration. All the hardware, including the charging system, stays on the bottom. We make the bottom part separable. They can charge the battery without handling the whole bottle. Charging hardware is wireless
As we processed the project, we figured some functions needed to be adjusted. We make the shape thinner to give more grip, remove lightning feedback, and separate water entry and supplement entry. The reason why remove the lightning feedback is that it might demand large battery consumption. Instead, we just put the touchable logo for power on/ off to use less energy
